Kim Kardashian Thanks Donald Trump, Jared Kushner For Helping A$AP Rocky

After speaking with President Trump about Rocky, Kim Kardashian publicly thanked him for working on the situation, writing, "Thank you @realDonaldTrump, @SecPompeo, Jared Kushner & everyone involved with the efforts to Free ASAP Rocky & his two friends".

The president said he has "already started" talks with Swedish authorities to free the rapper - a move he was talked into making after "many, many members of the African-American community called ..." Trump said on Twitter.

A district court agreed to a request from prosecutors for more time for their investigation of alleged aggravated assault by the 30-year-old performer, producer and model, whose real name is Rakim Mayers. Do you want to give them a little statement on that?

"We hope to see A$AP Rocky and his colleagues back on tour and reunited with friends and family soon".

A group of lawmakers demanded Rocky's release in a news conference earlier this week, amid reports that the rapper and two associates detained with him are being held in "inhumane conditions", including long, daily periods of solitary confinement.

Member of the Congressional Black Caucus have also gotten involved, calling on Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to step in on Rocky's behalf.

Many artists such as Sheck Wes, Tyga, Travis Scott, Cardi B and more have spoken out in support A$AP Rocky. I personally don't know A$AP Rocky but I can tell you he has tremendous support from the African American community in this country.

Earlier, Suneson said police "have worked intensively" with the preliminary investigation but needed more time to complete their probe.

The first video the artist shared to his social media platform showed what appeared to be the beginning of the street incident that later led to the arrests.

"This was a self-defense situation", his defense lawyer Slobodan Jovicic told reporters.

"Any time President Trump gets involved in anything, it brings a level of attention" to an issue that can not be matched by those who "don't have that cache or reach", Lanier said. "Your commitment to justice reform is so appreciated", Kardashian West wrote in the tweet. Asked how A$AP Rocky felt about it, Jovicic replied this was "a very bad experience".

A defence attorney has said Rocky's crew was acting in self-defence.
