Nokia 9.1 Pureview Could Launch With Camera Improvements In Q4 2019

As per a report by NokiaPowerUser, the Nokia 9.1 PureView was expected to launch in Q3 2019; however, HMD has decided that the handset needs a bit more work on its camera capabilities and avoid the same mistakes it made with the previous generation. A few months later, it was finally launched in India, and now there are rumours about HMD Global working on a successor already.

The Nokia 9.1 PureView is said to feature much better cameras this time around, thanks to a better processor and improvements to the software algorithm. Along with that, a slew of upgraded features is in store as well. It means that it will be equipped with powerful specs right below flagship models like the Nokia 9 PureView. While the report confirms the upcoming flagship will have camera technology from Light, it does not specify if the company will use newer sensors.

The company is now working alongside Light to develop and optimize the camera module which is touted to deliver high quality night time photos and video recording. So far, there haven't been any 5G Nokia phones, so it likely that new PureView will be the brand's first.

The Nokia 9 PureView comes with a 5.9-inch P-OLED Quad HD+ display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The Nokia 9.1 is also expected to come with a Snapdragon 855 processor, native support for 5G and Android Q out of the box.

It has been rumored that the front camera will be hosted in a punch-hole and that the phone will have thinner bezels than its predecessor.

The successor the Nokia 9 PureView could see a launch as early as Q4 2019.
