Ezekiel Elliott has forcefully staked his claim as the NFL's best running back over the first three seasons of his career.

The team's training camp recently started in Oxnard, California, but Elliott is holding out amid a contract dispute and was reportedly seen traveling to a resort area in Mexico.

Ezekiel Elliott has chose to attend training camp after all.

While the star running back is still holding out from training camp, a $20 million lawsuit was filed Tuesday that accuses Elliott and the Cowboys of trying to cover up a auto crash in early January 2017. That should come as good news to fans, considering the two-time National Football League rushing champion has shown no signs of intending to join his teammates anytime soon.

"The point there is, you don't have to have a rushing champion to win a Super Bowl".

Jones' three Super Bowl titles at the helm of America's Team - in the 1992, 1993, and 1995 seasons - all came with Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith leading Dallas' offense. "So I'm certainly not anxious about him being in bad shape when he comes back".

Morris would join the Cowboys as a backup in 2016, playing behind Elliott, who was then just a rookie. "Consequently, when we are looking at putting Zeke's contract in place, we've got to realize that the ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl".

"You've gotta do all of the things along with having Zeke that allow you to have other players so that you can win the Super Bowl", he said.

Comparing Elliott's numbers to the amount of money ($3.85 million base salary in 2019) he's scheduled to make over the next two seasons, there's no question that Dallas is getting the star running back at an absolute steal.

In 2017, the two-time rushing champion trained there during his six-game suspension for domestic violence. That has to count against him, as the Cowboys assess his long-term viability.
