The Belgium global was part of the Reds squad that claimed the Champions League crown last season and ends a six-year spell at Anfield where he made more than 200 appearances in all competitions.

As such, Mignolet has sought first-team opportunities in his homeland, and Adrian becomes Jurgen Klopp's third signing this summer following the acquisitions of Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott.

Adrian first joined West Ham in 2013, while the club was under the management of Sam Allardyce.

Mignolet completed a move to Club Bruges on Sunday evening and will sign a five-year deal in Belgium.

Goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has completed his £8 million move to Club Brugge, with Liverpool working on a deal to bring in Adrian as his replacement, the club have announced.

Club Brugge also confirmed the news, tweeting: "It's official!"

Adrian's contract expired after six years at West Ham this summer, having previously spent the majority of his career in La Liga with Real Betis.

Mignolet was part of the Liverpool squad that claimed the Champions League crown last season and the 31-year-old ends a six-year spell at Anfield in which he made more than 200 appearances in all competitions.

Is Adrian a good replacement for Mignolet?

"Obviously I want to win titles".

He has played 125 times in the Premier League for West Ham.

"So I've come here to fight for all the competitions". It's a big challenge for me to work with Alisson - he is in great form in the last few seasons, he's showing he's at a great level, one of the best in the world I would say.

"I'm looking forward to playing my first game at Anfield and to win as many games as we can".
