Man United ready to end Dybala talks

The 25-year-old's move to Old Trafford was part of a swap deal for Belgian worldwide Romelu Lukaku, who would have joined up with the Serie A champions.

Although it seems like Dybala is nearly certain to be a United player when the summer transfer windows shuts next week, it'd be monumental if the Reds were to swoop for his signature in the 11th hour.

The Belgian has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford with Serie A champions Juventus and rivals Inter Milan interested in his services.

It follows a week where Dybala met up with boss Maurizio Sarri and other Juve chiefs for talks before he was "exiled from the first team and made to train alone".

Instead, the 25-year-old has informed his agent that he will remain with La Vecchia Signora and will report to training on Monday ahead of the 2019/2020 campaign, per La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia.

However, widespread reports on Sunday said United have ended interest in the Argentina global due to his wage demands, the agent fees involved and concerns that he does not particularly want to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

He tweeted: "New issue on Manchester United signing Dybala". He has not scored fewer than 10 goals in each of his last eight seasons.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Solskjaer feels he has had a positive summer after bringing in Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire while also leaving room in the squad for talented youngsters like Greenwood to get their chance.

Sean Longstaff of Newcastle United is one player who was previously mentioned as a target but speculation has since died down after the Magpies reportedly demanded £50m for the player.

But now that that proposed transfer is no longer happening, it puts Lukaku back on the open market and Inter have apparently renewed their efforts to sign him after shedding midfielder Radja Nainggolan in a surprise loan to former club Cagliari and working on Mauro Icardi's exit.

Past reports have claimed that while the clubs have agreed "in principle" to Romelu Lukaku heading to the Old Lady, it is the Dybala factor that remains to be seen.

United are still trying to broker a swap deal that will see Dybala and Lukaku exchange places, in what would be one of the biggest transfers of the summer.

United ended their pre-season tour on Saturday after beating AC Milan on penalties.
