A slight chance of rain then more dry weather

Our next front arrives Friday afternoon delivering a few storms. Lows in the upper 60s. Highs will be in the low-mid 80s about 5-8 degrees below average for this time of year.

It will be partly sunny, humid and in the mid-80s on Tuesday, with the chance of storms rising to 50 percent, the federal forecasters say.

After a foggy start early Tuesday morning, we will see more sunshine through the day compared to Monday. The weekend looks dry, with highs near 80. Highs in the mid 80s.

This afternoon will be mostly cloudy with just a few peaks of sun. Wind: S/SE 10-15. High: 97. Temperatures really heating up, with many spots in the low 90s around the metro area. Storm chances will continue through the overnight hours with up to an inch of rain possible on some areas.

The National Weather Service is predicting a 20 percent chance of rain and a high in the lower 80s for Monday. The strongest part of an isolated storm could give you a better rain in southern Lower Michigan, but the chances are low.
