The Italy worldwide was treated to a rendition of his name during last weekend's 3-2 Premier League win at Norwich.

Lampard does not believe the duo will have any problems playing in the same team, brushing aside a suggestion there could be a situation similar to when critics stated he and Liverpool star Gerrard were unable to feature in the same England XI.

Lampard was fuming when the equalizer went in, throwing a bottle down in disgust, but his young side's soft underbelly was exposed again.

"It was a real plus last week".

"Yeah, I think so".

"The lack of concentration caused mistakes for the goals, but you defend as a team as much as attack".

"We conceded because we switched off in a game we should be comfortably seeing out, and that is no disrespect to Sheffield United".

The English manager, whose side face Sheffield United at home this weekend, promised to provide opportunities to young players when he returned to his old club this summer.

"2-0 was not the end of the story and I was clear on that with the players at half time. We can only look at ourselves as a group".

Lampard also confirmed that Chelsea intend to meet with some of the social media platforms to help try and stamp the abuse out.

"It wasn't bold. (Mateo) Kovacic was on his haunches, obviously exhausted and Billy Gilmour is a midfield player I have got on the bench", he said.

Former Rangers wonderkid Billy Gilmour has continued his remarkable rise after being named on the bench for Chelsea's Premier League clash with Sheffield United and making his debut as a late sub.

"One team [Ajax] was a semi-finalist past year, Valencia are a very strong team always, and in Lille we have another strong team".

"I've worked under some great managers, took a lot from them so I will go back to Chelsea and work with their under-15s and see where it goes from there", he said.

The first was dominated by the hosts as defensive errors allowed Tammy Abraham to score twice.

Callum Robinson got it under way less than a minute after the restart and then Kurt Zouma's own goal in the 87th minute earned a deserved point for the Blades.
