Trump Rushes to Prepare Federal Response to Hurricane Dorian

"Would also help if he tackled climate change which is making hurricanes more destructive!"

Those sentiments led many Trump critics to publicly hope the storm steers toward Mar-a-Lago - although that would also mean disaster for nearby middle-class and low-income neighborhoods.

But another one formed on Twitter this week, after a former Canadian prime minister tweeted that she hoped Hurricane Dorian would strike President Donald Trump's resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

As the US east coast from Florida to the Carolinas was preparing for the wrath of Hurricane Dorian, Campbell didn't offer words of support or encouragement for those who might be in its path. Instead, he will remove limits on methane!

But she posted the ill-advised tweet Wednesday morning before later deleting it and apologizing.

"I have deleted my tweet about the hurricane & Mar a Lago [sic] and sincerely apologize to all it offended", she tweeted. She says it was intended as sarcasm and not a serious wish of harm. Her point, it seems, was to juxtapose Trump's climate change denial with the increased occurence of strong storms like Dorian likely driven by climate change.

Editor's note: Most of the team here at Money and Markets lives and works in South Florida in the direct line of fire of Hurricane Dorian. I shd know better.

"Campbell is known for having a tongue with a mind of its own, and thus far she has not tried to tame it", The Washington Post's Charles Truehart wrote in 1993 as Campbell sought the prime minister's office.

MELANIA TRUMP has received a deadly threat from a former Canadian Prime Minister.

.

Eric Trump, the president's son, replied on Twitter "Our family is rooting for the safety of millions of homes, businesses, families and wonderful people in a great State of Florida".

"At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, NASA began slowly moving a 380-foot-high mobile launch platform to the safety of the colossal Vehicle Assembly Building, built to withstand 125 miles per hour wind".

Hurricane Dorian is now a category 2 storm.

This isn't the first time Campbell has hit out at Trump, calling him a "mother-- " in January. But predicting its course this far out is hard and forecasters cautioned that all of Florida could be in harm's way.

"You should assume there is going to be power loss if you're in the path of this storm", Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis told residents.
