Apple Watch Series 5 launched, price starts at Rs 40,990

Apple's new iPad will be avialable in Space Gray, Silver, and Gold colors and 32GB and 128GB storage options.

The Apple Watch Series 5 will cost $399 with Global Positioning System, and $499 with Global Positioning System and cellular service. This is also the first version with a compass, and Apple is making its wearable in new materials. Unlike the Apple Watch Series 4, the new Apple Watch Series 5 is a minor update with no changes to the overall design of the hardware. The dimmed screen is bright enough to see the screen still.

It's bought all of the options launched with watchOS 6, together with fall detection and the flexibility to take an ECG out of your wrist.

Apple Watch users yearned for an always-on display. Pre-orders for the Series 5 start Tuesday and the watch will be delivered or available for pick-up in stores on September 20.

And they will also be able to add one of three new Compass complications to their watch face to see their direction at a glance.

In addition to that, the new Watch comes with a built-in compass, and the ability to make emergency calls in over 150 countries. The same event also revealed the new iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 11. Apple said it can not access information that directly identifies you through the app. Many users report that they get longer than the estimated 18-hour battery life, but that's wholly dependent on how often you use Global Positioning System, and other power-guzzling apps and features. If you're looking for a sportier look, Apple has brought back the Apple Watch Nike variant, while there is also a Hermès edition that retails in Singapore for SGD1,749 (about Rm5,296).

Unveiled on stage at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, on Thursday, the new version features a similar design to the Apple Watch Series 4 launched this time a year ago but with a new screen that can remain on all the time. This time around Apple has heard the users and fitted the Apple Watch Series 5 with always-on-display.

The Apple Watch Series 5 features an innovative new display that allows the time and important information to remain visible at all times.

By enrolling in one of the studies, you can contribute data about your heart health, periods and hearing - the latter two using new features coming in watchOS 6 that allow you to track cycles and symptoms and measure noise decibels right on your wrist.

Other notable features of the new iPad include an 8MP rear camera, 1.2MP FaceTime HD front cam, stereo speakers, nano-SIM and eSIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. It is powered by Apple's new 64-bit dual-core S5 processor, said to be up to 2 times faster than the S3 processor.
