Google Pixelbook Go is ribbed under, matte on top

From the leaked images we get to see that the Pixelbook Go features an unusual ribbed texture on the bottom. Last year, the Pixel 3 was leaked so extensively, there were conspiracy theories that Google is doing it on goal to surprise us all with a wildly different device. It has a coral-esque color that will look nice when paired together with the supposed orange color of the upcoming Pixel 4.

9to5Google's Stephen Hall said the Pixelbook Go has the same keyboard as the original Pixelbook, which was surprisingly among the best keyboards I've tried. Apart from that, the prototype presented here is equipped with a 16:9 13.3-inch 1080p touchscreen. The only thing left is the pricing which we'll find out officially on October 15 at Google's Made by Google event in NYC... you know, unless that leaks out too. Now it is Pixelbook Go's turn. The Pixelbook is also expected to come with a 2 MP front-facing camera and two front-firing speakers.

Details about the laptop, called Pixelbook Go, leaked today ahead of Google's media briefing next week.

According to the report, the top tier model will boast a 4K "Molecular Display", an Intel Core i7 processor, and 16GB RAM.

The odd logo on top of the notebook is reportedly just a placeholder, while the standard "G" logo will be featured on the production model.

Finally, we talk about the beginnings of the hardware wave we're expecting to see over the course of the next few months with Samsung and ASUS beginning to ship new Chromebooks while the "Hatch" baseboard adds a few new entries to the Chromebook tracking list.
