Zoë Kravitz has been cast as Catwoman proving good news still exists

Fans, obviously, duh! But, in addition to that, Kravitz's step-father and Aquaman, Jason Momoa and Game of Thrones star, Sophie Turner have joined the cheering squad. He's also Zoe Kravitz's stepfather. Zoë is the daughter of Momoa's wife, actress Lisa Bonet, and her ex-husband, rocker Lenny Kravitz, with whom she and Momoa remain very close. In a recent interview, Kravitz explained, "You go through a marriage with somebody, you break up and it's very hard".

She reportedly beat out "Deadpool 2" veteran Zazie Beetz, Alicia Vikander of "Tomb Raider" and "Baby Driver" actress Eiza Gonzalez for the role of the anti-heroine and occasional love interest of the Caped Crusader. Will Matt Reeve's upcoming Batman film also shine a spotlight on this on and off love hate relationship? Kravitz's Big Little Lies co-star Nicole Kidman, who was also in Aquaman, was recently asked by Variety if Kravitz was the ideal Catwoman, Kidman had far nicer things to say than that. At this point they can do pretty much whatever they want with it.

Kravitz voiced the character of Catwoman in the animated film The Lego Batman Movie and has previously appeared as the Marvel Comics character Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class. Of course, we expect this performance to be somewhat different than that one. In May, news hit that Twilight actor Robert Pattinson would be playing Batman.

Catwoman is a singular character identified blurring the traces between anti-hero and villain within the DC Universe. Though, there's more than enough other items on Kravitz's IMDB page that make us convinced she's right for the part. If you aren't, since The Batman's going to release in 2021, I'd suggest you to go through their work and then get back to me about excited you are.
