Joel Embiid, Karl-Anthony Towns Get Into Fight During Game

Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns were ejected for fighting during the third quarter of the Philadelphia 76ers' 117-95 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. KAT quickly swung back in the comments section, to which Embiid dropped an absolutely scathing retort that I simply can't repost for fear of offending (you can check it out here if you dare).

"I know they (Sixers teammates) have my back". On Wednesday night, Karl-Anthony Towns had enough of Embiid and the two centers made a decision to settle their differences with their fists. After a victory over Minnesota in December 2017, the Cameroonian dedicated an Instagram post to Towns after a dominant 28-point, 12-rebound performance. "You've got to be a Broad Street bully". Towns then threw a punch and missed, and then put Embiid in a headlock. While everyone has made a big deal out of this matchup, Towns has said that he is more focused on getting the win and isn't anxious about the matchup with Embiid.

"While we are disappointed with the league's decision, we understand the magnitude of this unfortunate incident", Timberwolves president Gersson Rosas said in a statement, via Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

'But it's basketball. That's what I'm good at - I like to get in people's minds'.

After the game, Embiid told reporters that the quarrel "kind of happened out of nowhere". In the contest he scored 21 points, grabbed five rebounds, collected three steals and dished out a pair of assists. I think tonight it just showed a lot of heart.

Now, on to the real main event: the postgame trash talk after Embiid's Sixers routed Towns' Timberwolves. "Oh wait you never been there".

Embiid carried the 76ers with just four players reaching double figures. The Sixers dominated. They dominated on the glass, defensively, and offensively. "Imagine talking about a 20 points loss". Towns has similar numbers at $9.9k with a 53.62 fantasy points.
