Butler's late arrival allowed rookie Tyler Herro to get off to a great start.

Reddish flushed the dunk and had a little something extra for Herro after the slam, staring him down after the fact.

Young was the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the first week of the season after posting 34 points and nine assists per game through his first three games. He has been ruled out for Thursday night's game vs. the Miami Heat. Cam Reddish led the Hawks in assists on the night with 6 while adding 6 points of his own in the game. Through his first two games of the season, he is averaging 13.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game.

Center Meyers Leonard, who the Heat picked up as part of the sign-and-trade deal that brought Butler to Miami, finished Thursday's win over the Hawks with 16 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.

The Hawks continue a stretch of four straight home games when they face the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night (Wednesday, PHL time). Jerry Stackhouse tops the list, scoring 124 points in the 1995-96 season.

Both times, the Heat have registered convincing wins behind some impressive performances by their rookies - Tyler Herro a couple of days earlier and now Kendrick Nunn.

This is the second of four games between the two clubs this year; they won't play again until December 10 in Miami. While Jimmy Butler was out for three of the first four games due to the birth of his daughter, the rest of the team was able to step up and secure two of three games in his absence.

The Hawks have covered the point spread in 3 of their 4 games, only failing to do so against Miami.

Young will rehab the ankle through the weekend, sources said. Leonard - who had 25 points in the second half - scored five of his 10 third-quarter points during the rally, including a dunk after a steal of DeMar DeRozan at midcourt. De'Andre Hunter (dental) is no longer on the injury report.

Anthony Chiang covers the Miami Heat for the Miami Herald. "I think he's going to have an opportunity to be a Sixth Man of the Year candidate, and we're going to use him that way", Pierce said.
