Abraham, Pulisic lift 'sloppy' Chelsea past lowly Watford

It is of paramount importance that the Blues dominates the ball in central areas drawing Watford infield before quickly distributing into wide areas.

Ben Foster, who was superb during the game, denied both Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount to extend Chelsea's lead.

Pulisic cut inside of a defender on a sprint toward goal and latched onto an Tammy Abraham cross to slam home before crashing into the net and moving Chelsea up to third in the English Premier League, just two points behind defending champion Manchester City.

'It's incredible, it's awesome, ' Pulisic added.

Deulofeu fired Watford's first chance of note wide and the Hornets were fortunate to only be one goal behind at the break after Foster pushed Mount's driven effort onto the crossbar.

United States worldwide Pulisic has started the past two game and, following a lean beginning to life in London, now boasts four top-flight goals.

Pulisic almost had another but Foster flicked out his left foot and the Hornets had hope when they were awarded a penalty 10 minutes from time. The Spanish winger stepped up himself slotted home the spot-kick to reduce the deficit.

Watford came close to a dramatic late victor on Saturday when Kepa Arrizabalaga made a stunning save to deny Hornets' goalkeeper Ben Foster.

What does it mean?

The Blues haven't lost on the road since their very first away game in August, where they fell to a heavy 4-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Watford remain winless and look like relegation fodder.

Chelsea made a blistering start that reaped an immediate reward when Abraham accelerated on Jorginho's sublime pin-point pass and lifted a cool finish over Ben Foster. The assist for Pulisic was totally unselfish. They then host Ajax in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, and Crystal Palace will visit Stamford Bridge before the next global break.
