Andy Reid Comments on Patrick Mahomes’ Week 10 Status

Mahomes has missed the past two games with a dislocated knee cap.

During his meeting with the media before practice, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid wouldn't say who was starting at quarterback on Sunday against the Titans.

The quarterback suffered the nasty injury in a 30-6 victory at Denver on October 17. That's a reason he hasn't been specific about what the Chiefs want to see or when Mahomes will return to the lineup. That stretch also has taken some of the pressure off the Chiefs to rush Mahomes back to the field before he's ready. "And we'll keep you abreast as it goes, but right now that's where we're at".

Backup Matt Moore started both of those contests.

Kansas Metropolis faces the Titans this week in advance of enjoying the Chargers in 7 days 11.

"We're not going to put him out there unless he's safe to do it", Reid said before Mahomes was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

"It looks like he's moving around better", Reid said.

"We've got to see how he handles [it], he didn't take a ton of reps last week so we'll try increase them here a little bit and see how it works out".

"We're kind of in the same pattern we've been in the past couple of weeks", Moore said.

The reigning league MVP is not putting up the same insane stats from last season, but he has passed for 2,180 yards, 15 touchdowns and 5 interceptions this season. Kansas City (6-3) lost at Green Bay 31-24 in Week Eight before defeating Minnesota 26-23 on Sunday.

Of course the Titans have a greater prospect to earn if Matt Moore is the quarterback.
