Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson absent from practice

Through eight games, the budding star has led his team to an impressive 6-2 record, good enough for first place in the AFC North. A victory Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium would give the Ravens their first series sweep of Cincinnati since 2011 and their longest winning streak since 2010, when they took the last four in the regular season and beat Kansas City in the first round of the playoffs before losing to Pittsburgh. With Drake leading the way, Arizona's yards-per-carry (6.5) nearly doubled against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football compared to what the Saints allowed (3.6), though they weren't able to hold onto an early lead. This historic Patriots defense had enjoyed a historic start to the season by not allowing teams to get anything going through the air or the ground, however, that quickly changed in Week 9 when Jackson and Ingram combined for 176 yards and two touchdowns on 3 carries. And so far in 2019, the 22-year-old from Pompano Beach, Florida has been electric.

Once the Bengals have Green back on the field, the rest of the receiving corps should find themselves in better situations. Jackson leads National Football League with 6.43 yards per carry average.

"Short and a little bit slight". That's why Jackson is out to prove that he can be a pass-first guy, and do so efficiently.

"I think he's been making great progress", Taylor said. You want to make a big win matter? The fourth-round pick was a drop-back passer in college and accurate thrower who completed 67.4 percent of his passes in 2018 for 3,928 yards and 25 touchdowns. Accuracy issues? Jackson now places in the top-12 of the league with a serviceable 64.2 completion percentage.

Lamar Jackson is a high-level National Football League quarterback worthy of MVP consideration. The rookie came through again in overtime to bully the Buccaneers defensive backs much like Saints All-Pro Michael Thomas did a few weeks ago, converting a critical third down to put Seattle in scoring position. Minutes after Taylor said he expected Green to play in Sunday's game against the Ravens, he was not spotted at practice.

"It's a good win", coach John Harbaugh said Monday.

Given Polian's track record - he earned a Hall of Fame bust by helping three franchises build Super Bowl teams and was a six-time victor of the NFL Executive of the Year award - his words resonated.

If there was a bright spot for the Patriots, it was in the kicking game.
