The Pussycat Dolls Announce Dublin Gig

The Pussycat Dolls have announced their official reunion through the Instagram account of frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger, and I'm still screaming into a paper bag.

The Pussycat Dolls, who have sold more than 54 million records around the world, plan to launch their reunion with a performance during the final in the UK's X Factor: Celebrity on Saturday, followed by a tour next year.

The girl group, best known for hits including "Don't Cha", "Buttons" and "When I Grow Up", confirmed that they will be heading out on a United Kingdom tour in April 2020 - their first shows together in 10 years.

Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Kimberley Wyatt, Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta officially revealed the news this morning, however, this time around they will not be joined by former member Melody Thornton.

"Half the time, Louis doesn't even know what he's talking about, so I was just surprised he got that one right", laughs his co-judge Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Dolls.

Ashley then added: "It's been 10 years since we've all been sat in a room like this together". "But I think ultimately there's some unfinished business with the Pussycat Dolls. And we were ready to do it". Jessica Sutta left the band in 2010.

Their tour will kick off in Dublin's 3Arena on April 5, 2020.

We'll be looking forward to seeing what the girls cook up together now that they're back - perhaps we'll be treated to some new tunes sometime soon? Tickets are on-sale this Sunday at 10am. It is the first single from her upcoming EP.

"They said, "we're going to have Nicole do all of the recording, you're going to have to learn to dance with the rest of the girls", Melody explained earlier this year when she was in the United Kingdom for Dancing on Ice.

Unfortunately, one member that won't be returning to the group is Melody Thornton. It included songs that went on to become their biggest hits around the world - Don't Cha, Buttons, Stickwitu, Beep, I Don't Need a Man and Wait a Minute.

However, the five-piece are just as excited for the reunion tour, claiming "we about the bring it, 2020".
