9 killed in USA plane crash

The plane was leaving from Chamberlain, South Dakota to Idaho and crashed shortly after takeoff. Nine of them were killed in the crash, including the pilot and two children, and three survivors were taken to Sioux Falls for treatment.

East Idaho News, which first identified the victims, reported that the party had been on a hunting trip to South Dakota, one of the nation's top destinations for pheasants. The Hansens own K & J Super Stores, oil firm Conrad and Bischoff, and they also founded health and wellness company Kyani.

The FAA said investigators were en route to the crash site and that the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) would be in charge of the investigation.

He added, however, that inclement weather is making it hard to travel to the site, possibly delaying their investigations.

A cause for the crash hasn't yet been determined.

Kyäni Inc. sells nutritional and skin care products, among others, that "combine the best of nature's adaptations with the latest modern technology", the company's website says. Local authorities are keeping the wreckage, and federal investigators are expected to arrive by Monday. The Weather Service warned of ice, snow and winds as fast as 40 miles per hour, as stormy weather across the country is predicted to hit millions of travellers returning home after Thanksgiving.

"Jim Sr. has been invited to lead a group of 16-year-old boys, scoffers and bad boys in the neighborhood church". Over the years, Jim Sr. always kept track of me and made time for a conversation... "Most people will never know how much the Hansen family has done".

"They were our good friends", said Call. "Their influence in the community and church will be heavily felt".
