Family loses chance to win $10000 with viral wrong answer

Eve Dubois was up against the Tomlin family on "Family Feud" on CBC and was told by host Gerry Dee there was only one answer to the following question.

Easily the funniest thing you'll see all day, during Family Feud Canada's final showdown one contestant made a terrible mix up between the sailor Popeye & the fast food Popeye's which lead to a hilarious answer.

A Manitoba family had a chance to win a $10,000 prize for the second time and lost it after a wrong answer that went viral.

The restaurant made headlines a year ago with the introduction of its very-in-demand chicken sandwich, which caused long lines outside its locations, and even fights - at least one of them fatal.

Unfortunately, the question referred to the famous cartoon character Popeye, whose favorite food is spinach, not the popular southern fried restaurant. "Chicken!" she responded, following it up with a small celebratory dance.

Speaking about her family, Dubois said: "They were in shock".

Logan White of Waterloo, Ontario, who appeared on the show with his wife and fellow contestant, Alyssa Tomlin-White, gave the correct answer of 'spinach'.

Naturally, it saw a chance to act. As it turns out, she was the only one on the planet with that answer, as the answer board showed a big red X when asked, "Show me chicken!"

"The real tragedy of this video is that only 54 of 100 people said spinach in the actual survey", wrote another.

I would like to start off by saying that I had no idea that there was a Canada Family Feud.

"I thought you meant Popeyes Chicken", Dubois said to Dee before returning back to her family's podium.

Dubois' mother told Global News Canada that her daughter is taking her vial fame in stride.

After the hilarious game-show fail went viral, Popeye's issued a tweet, telling the family to send a DM to claim $10,000 worth of Popeye's food.

The contestant also thanked the company on Twitter for its offer.
